    New! Painting and Digital Camera Pre: Co: Combine and explore new technologies in conjunction with traditional painting techniques. Explore images in the computer lab. Scan images and use Adobe Photoshop to generate ideas on canvas. Familiarity with the computer helpful, but not essential. Time will be spent both in the computer lab and in the studio.     Portrait Workshop Pre: Co: Some of the most powerful and emotional images in Western Art come from portraiture. In this workshop learn to go beyond observation and execution to creating a living portrait. Working from a live model explore color, composition, facial structure, proportion and capturing emotion. Examine the many approaches to this genre including the realistic portraits of Rembrandt and John Singer Sargent, to the Expressionists portraits of Van Gogh and Max Beckman as well as more abstract styles. This workshop is for both the beginner and experienced artist. Join us for this challenging visual adventure. A small fee of $10 or less is payable in class for a model.
