    Belly Dancing 2 Women are welcome to continue to explore movement in Middle Eastern dance style, increasing creativity and developing more precise rhythmic movement. The instructor will demonstrate advanced styles as in dancing with swords, the use of veils, head scarves and costume selection. We wil use finger cymbals, enhance learned dance steps and explore new ones in a lead and follow format. Materials for veils is ultra-light chiffon or silk and 3 yards is best. Individuals select a dance style and begin working on an individual routine and selecting accompanying music.

    Identification and Culture of Trees Pre: Co: An introduction to the most commonly planted trees in New England, their distinguishing characteristics, horticultural requirements and some suggested landscape uses. Examine botanical features such as: leaf shape; color; twig and bud characteristics. Class meets for seven sessions during six weeks, including one mandatory weekend field trip, to be arranged with the instructor. Plant specimens, slide lectures and the field trip will be used. Two quizzes, a final test and a photo journal are required for successful completion of this course. Textbook required, available at the Danvers campus bookstore.

    Vineyard Management-Summer Pre: Co: Alfalfa Farm winery offers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make wine in New England. Get hands-on experience with viticulture, and helping make trade-offs between quality and yield. The classes will vary depending largely on the weather. Dress suitably for outdoor work in the vineyard. No alcohol, wine, sulfite allergies. Able to walk through vineyard (uneven surfaces).

    Magnificent Vase Arrangements Learn the "art of vase arranging" by employing the newest trade techniques. Specific care and handling of individual flowers as well as the elements of visual design will be explored. Whether your flowers are hand cut from the garden or a "supermarket" bouquet, discover how each arrangement can take on new dimensions of style and color. Bring your favorite vase to each class. A $36 supply fee for fresh flowers is payable to the instructor at the first class.

    Creativity in Motion Pre: Co: A multi-media experience combining art and drama, is open to individuals or team participants, and can be a perfect opportunity for parents, guardians or grandparents to create a summer-shared experience with children, ages 8-17. In our effort to keep America "green", we will create fabulous 3-D collages using only recyclable materials, then add music, poetry, sound, costuming, props, or makeup, culminating with an informal production for family and friends in the final class. All art supplies provided in class.

These are one of a kind, airy caspia and pastel statice. These are one of a kind, large scale projects. The wreath 16"-18" in diameter, the swag 22" in length. Glue gun & glue sticks required.     Comedy Improvisational Skills Advanced Workshop Pre: Co: You've been bitten by the improv bug and want to develop your skills of cooperation, narrative and timing without a script. Come and hone your acting skills, create characters, develop scenes, and perform in front of others and have fun! If you're interested in acting, public speaking, and interpersonal relationships, and have had past experience with improv, this class is for you.

    Sculpture 1 for Beginners This introductory course in sculpture for beginners will explore different ways of creating three-dimensionally by experimenting with a variety of sculptural techniques such as carving, clay modeling, casting and assemblage; we will begin to understand some fundamentals of sculpture and start to think three-dimensionally. All projects are designed using materials and processes that are possible to repeat at home.

    Wire and Beads I Pre: Co: Create jewelry you can be proud of! This beginner jewelry workshop will have you bending and forming wire to create exciting shapes to dangle as earrings. You will learn about color combinations that work harmoniously for stringing your own necklace. By the end of class you will take home a bracelet, necklace and earrings. A $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor at first class.

    Sculpture II for Beginners Lets refine and expand upon the techniques that we used in Sculpture I. We will focus more on the visions of individual students, helping to perfect the craft and also the concepts of your work. Techniques used in clay modeling, carving and mixed media will create work that is more sophisticated in content and execution. Please bring a sketchbook to capture ideas for this class.
