    Perspective in Art Pre: Co: Are you challenged in your painting or drawing when it comes to creating something repesentional that requires a knowledge of perspective? Learn new skills and tools that will help you break through the barriers so that your artwork is visually correct. Much of what you do as an artist is intuitive, but knowing the left-brained rules of perspective can make a difference in the visual impact of your paintings and drawings. Workshop will cover one-point, two-point, three-point, perspective and beyond. Ample opportunity to practice will be provided. Bring to class the first night a #2 pencil, soft vine charcoal, grey charcoal eraser, newsprint 11"x14" or larger.

    Zills Made Simple Pre: Co: Zills are instruments used in Belly Dance. They can be used to add drama and attitude to your performance. Some of the techniques covered in this workshop include: Zill exercises and warm-ups; basic zills, alternating singles and doubles; basic gallop, and how to get a variety of sounds from your zills. Previous Belly Dance experience suggested. Please bring your zills.

    Water Based Oils Sunday Sampler Pre: Co: Come relax, have fun, and explore this beautiful, buttery, yet fluid art medium that mixes and cleans up with soap and water with no noxious smells. It's hard to tell a traditional oil painting from water-based oil. All materials are provided for a fee $15 payable to the instructor in class.

    Hand Building in Clay Saturday Sampler Pre: Co: Join us for an afternoon of fun in this hands-on clay workshop in which you will have the opportunity to create 3-D sculpture in a wonderful self-hardening Mexican Clay that is a beautiful terra cotta color. Learn some techniques for hand-building in clay and creating textures. Bring home your finished pieces. All materials are provided for a $10 fee payable to the instructor in class.

    Printmaking Saturday Sampler Pre: Co: Explore using water soluble printing inks that come in vibrant colors. You will create one-of-a-kind monoprints from different surfaces. Then, create multiple prints from etching into a surface "printing plate" that can be inked again to produce multicolored original prints that make beautiful cards, collages, or art work to hang on your wall. Explore making relief sculptures. No experience necessary. All materials are provided for a fee of $10 payable to the instructor in class.

    Watercolor and Wax Resist Saturday Sampler Pre: Co: Create wonderful textural effects with paraffin wax in combination with watercolor to create a wax resist. Playful, imaginative, intuitive painting will be encouraged, and if that scares you, you should definitely show up. No experience in watercolor necessary. All materials are provided for a fee of $10 payable to the instructor in class.

    Flower Wreathmaking Pre: Co: Elect: Enjoy creting beautiful flower wreaths from natural materials just like you see at the florist! Design a wreath of lovely pastel flowers surrounded with whimisical Baby's Breath. Sea lavender, statice, colorful strawflowers, peppergrass and fragrant eucalyptus are the perfect botanicals for making our wreaths. Ribbons and lace or decorative miniature ornaments will add the finishing touche herbs or decorative miniature ornaments will add the finishing touches. Essential material will be provided by the instructor. Students need to bring $18.00 to the first class for materials.

    Mixed Metal Earrings Pre: Co: Create unique copper, brass, or silver earrings by coiling, spiraling, wrapping, corrugating, hammering, disc cutting and dapping. Learn how to make your own ear wires. Enhance your earrings with semi-precious stones. All tools and equipment will be provided by the instructor. A $35 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
