Drawing and Painting Workshop Pre: Co: Express yourself through drawing and painting. Learn to develop your ability to see in non-stereotypical ways. Explore line, shape, value, and color while having fun with the process of painting. Open to all skill levels. A $15 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class.

Music Theory for Guitarists Pre: Co: Elect: Ever wonder why certain chords are used in a particular song? Do you get stuck while trying to figure out the correct chord sequence in a musical passage or a new song? Well, struggle, no longer! This course will "map out" music theory as it pertains to the guitar. You will learn about scales, explore chord construction, identifying time signatures and learn techniques on how to enhance your basic ear training skills. Experience in reading music is not required. All levels welcome.

Ceramic Brush Stroke Painting II Pre: Co: Continue to practice freehand brushstroke painting on bisque ceramics introducing different designs on pieces such as: plates, mugs, vases, votive holders, etc. All pieces will be prepared for painting and bisque fired for students before class. The pieces will then be glazed and refired by the teacher to be picked up the following week. A materials fee of $60 is payable to the instructor in the first class to cover paints, bisque, glaze and additional firings.

Flowering Bulbs Year Round Pre: Co: Elect: Enjoy the beauty of flowering bulbs, indoors, year round! Understanding the process is easy, planting bulbs in containers is effortless and these bulbs will bloom year after year. All you need is a sunny, winter window sill, the proper soil and a few containers. Select from miniature iris, delicate jonquils, fragrant paperwhites or botanical tulips (plus many, many more). The larger, more stately bulbs will include lillies or Royal Dutch Amaryllis. Students will be responsible for essential supplies. Wholesale, specialty bulb catalogs will be provided for each enrolled student to order from during the first class.

Corsages & Boutonnieres This class will be a "hands-on" workshop in which students will learn the delicate art of creating and designing "special occasion" corsages, wristlets. and men's boutonnieres for formal wear. Tiome permitting, the instructor will demonstrate various wiring techniques and advanced themes through the use of color and flower selection. A minimal materials fee of $7.00 should be payable to the instructor.

Art of Holiday Flower Arranging Pre: Co: Elect: Enjoy designing "holiday" floral arrangements to decorate your home, and at the same time, learn about the techniques of the trade and the floral forms and supplies used in this craft. All arrangements will be decided upon in class enabling you to select from an array of projects for style & color. You may also choose between fresh flowers and/or silk flowers! Students will reimburse the instructor for whoesale floral items (approx. $11 per week) during the first class.

Hearts & Flower Wreaths Pre: Co: Elect: This Valentine's Day join our workshop and we will teach you how to create three delightfully different heart-shaped wreaths for your home or for gift-giving. The largest, a 15" heart and flower" wreath is worked with everlasting flowers in vivid reds, perky pinks and snowy white, entwined with fragrant eucalyptus. One miniature 6-7" heart is woven in eucalyptus and red satin ribbon, the other wrapped in paper twist with your loving message enclosed. Students will need to bring $16 for supples to the workshop, payable to the instructors. Scissors and hot glue gun required.

Beautiful Botanicals in Watercolor-Advanced Techniques Pre: Co: Learn to realistically render orchids and other plants. Explore textures, patterns, and effects. Fine-tune detailing, highlighting and tweaking skills. Experiment with combining pen and ink, and colored pencils to enhance your paintings. Class includes demonstrations, individual attention, and plenty of time for painting. Bring your enthusiasm and a $35 fee payable to the instructor at the first class. Please call for a materials list at 978-236-1200 before class starts. Previous watercolor experience preferred.
