    Creative Matting Workshop Pre: Co: Creative matting may be the most important and rewarding element in custom picture framing. This one-day workshop, taught by Larry Glickman of Traveling Framers in Andover, will provide basic instruction in mat measuring, beveled cuts, creative corners, ovals and multiple openings. Explore advanced techniques of mat decoration such as double and triple matting, V-groove, the inlay mat, slant and notch corners and French matting. All mat cutters, tools and equipment will be provided for use in this workshop. Limited mat board will be available from the instructor, or bring your own mat board, artwork and equipment. Bring a #2 pencil, notepad, and ruler.

    Architectural Photography in the Urban Landscape Pre: Co: Learn to photograph buildings and landscapes in a city environment with a professional photographer. The class will feature lectures; field trips to photograph local landmarks; and sharing the resulting photos. Focus will be on cultivating your own personal style as you learn to: conceptualize and follow through on an idea; preplan; scout subjects for lighting; and use filters to enhance and correct lighting. Students will need a 35-mm or medium format camera, color slide film, and a tripod.

    Intro to Digital Photography Workshop Pre: Co: An introduction to using digital cameras and the exciting field of digital imagery. You will learn to use a digital camera with a home computer. Topics to be covered include: basic camera functions, setting resolution, storing images, setting up computer folders, and using additional digital equipment. You will be introduced to basic image software and the basic techniques used to repair, modify, and print images.
