Come and learn how to make a traditional Caesar from scratch, along with: Mexican taco salad, Caribbean shrimp salad, Cobb salad (from Beverly Hills); Green Papaya from Thailand. Learn how to make interesting salads from side dishes and main courses including homemade Middle Eastern taboule, French nicoise, and spicy Chinese noodles. Hors d'oeuvres Pre: Co: In these challenging economic times, more and more people are home entertaining. Whether a casual neighborhood get-together, card night, game night or movie night, these hors d'oeuvres are meant to impress with simple ingredients and preparation techniques. This session will introduce crab squares; profiteroles with gorgonzola and roast beef; curried cashew chicken skewers; chicken almond stuffed mushroom caps; dates filled with almond, honey, and goat cheese; and mini frittatas topped with vegetable compote. After this class, you will never again buy those frozen hors d'oeuvres with their preservatives and high calories. A $40 perishables fee is payable to the instructor in class.
