In our effort to keep America "green," we will create 3-D collages using recyled materials. As we experiement with several artistic disciplines, i.e., music, drama, poetry, sound effects, etc., we will attach meaning to our 3-D creations, resulting in Performance Art. Our work will culminate with a performance and an informal Q and A for family and friends on the 3rd day. (For further reflection and discussion, an optional one-hour, brown bag lunch follows this class.)

    First Aid, CPR (13-17) Pre: Co: Be prepared for an emergency. This First Aid class covers the essentials needed to respond to a medical emergency. Topics include: protecting yourself from infectious disease while providing care; caring for injuries such as burns, bleeding and wound care; bandaging and splinting; assisting with spine immobilization; and CPR. We will discuss legal issues regarding providing care to strangers. Successful completion of the class earns a certificate from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute for Basic First Aid. An $18 book fee must be paid to the instructor the first day.
