Young Artist II (6-9) Pre: Co: Continue to find the many ways in which you can express yourself through art. Draw, paint, cut, glue, make prints, and create puppets. Improve your skills and learn more new techniques. A $5 materials fee must be paid to the instructor the first week.

Books Galore (ages 7-10) Participants will have the opportunity to explore a a variety of simple and attractive bookmaking styles. Beading, origami, stamping, binding, and creative collage techniques will be employed to create personal journals, albums or blank pages to fill with our own tales.

Mutation Math (ages 7-9) Change the ordinary into the extraordinary with math! We will discover new ways to utilize old concepts of mathematics with hands-on creative ideas. Students will explore the many uses of math in everyday life in very imaginative ways.

Ceramics Sampler (ages 9-14) Pre: Co: If you enjoy painting and learning new ceramic techniques, you will love these projects! We will experiment with different approaches to painting. Create beautiful and useful items, such as a crackled flowerpot, a personalized trivet and a priceless family keepsake plate. Grab a smock and join in the fun. This course will be held off-site in Danvers, 5 minutes from the Ferncroft Campus. Upon receipt of registration confirmation, please call (978) 236-1211 for the location. A $45 materials fee must be paid directly to the instructor the first week of class.

Then join this class in which participants will have the opportunity to select at a "Book Tasting" from popular children's books. In addition to keeping a reader response journal, students students will take turns being the word wizard, Artful Artist and Creative Connector. . .

Creative Dramatics (ages 7-9) Pre: Co: This course provides a framework for channeling creativity while encouraging the freedom of self-expression. Theatrical skills will be taught through diction, movement and a variety of theatre games. There will be a special emphasis on "story theatre", in addition to learning how to perform a song in Broadway production style. .

Creative Arts from Nature (Ages 9-14) Discover how to preserve the colorful faces of flowers, leaves, and grasses as we make a handcrafted floral wreath. Learn the art of preserving botanicals and pressed flowers, using them in paintings completed with a clever frame. Design a mosaic while exploring the ocean shells, washed stones, quartz, beach-glass, china, clay and ceramic materials used.
