Cooking Around the World (Entering grades 4-6) Pre: Co: Cook traditional dishes from different parts of the world, have fun, and learn more about our distant neighbors. Each week find a different country's location, culture, and famous dishes. Then, taste the fruits of your labor! A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

Math Dances (5-7) Pre: Co: Shape patterns, dance shapes, clap, count, and as you dance and have fun with your classmates, math will come alive. Time, space, pattern and form are your tools; they are part of you, part of what is all around you--and, what math is made of! Move and learn.

Make Your Dreams Come True (11-14) Pre: Co: Set a goal and have FUN doing it? Yes! Draw, cut out pictures, and write what YOU dream about and what YOU bring to your life. Start a goals list and write easy action plans with simple steps to achieve your goals. Your "Scrapbook of the Future" will help you make your dreams a reality and remind you of what you actually do accomplish as you create the unique pathways of you life. A $20 materials fee must be paid to the instructor the first week.

Innocent or Guilty: You be the Judge! (8-10) Pre: Co: Think like a lawyer... or like a judge, witness, or even defendent. Participate in a mock trial. You will be led in the process by practicing attorneys. Your family and friends will be invited to your final courtoom performance!

How Does Your Garden Grow - Hydroponically? (7-10) Pre: Co: Find out how plants grow in water and make your own garden--even in the winter time! Conduct tests to find out what plants need to grow and succeed. Try using gelatin in place of water, water in place of soil; observe and compare. Learn the mysteries of hydroponic gardening and find out what it takes to grow from seed to sprout to full grown plant.

Treasures from Trash (Entering grades: K-4) Pre: Co: Imagine the fun and interesting things you can make with stuff y ou find around the house and save from the trash: parts from broken toys, your old but much-loved sweater, wire, a colorful dishrag. You can even use plastic, styrofoam dishes, cups or straws from fast food places. Your artist-instructor will bring some items for you to choose from, too. Share your creations with your classmates and bring them home to your families.

Digital Photography (Entering grades 4-6) Pre: Co: You know you'd be a great photographer. Learn the basics of digital photography: composition, lighting, depth of field, digital settings, and processing digital photos. Got a digital camera? Bring it!
