Show Biz Kidz (8-17) Pre: Co: An acting premer for Parent/Guardian AND Child/Teen, ages 8-17. Discover your child's potential to become an actor/spokesperson in the Greater Boston scene. Good auditioning techniques (including monologue selection), agency/website contact info, and theatrical resume preparation will be presented. All participants are required to bring along a PARENT/GUARDIAN and a notebook.

Design-a-Costume (8-12) Pre: Co: Wizards, princesses, and knights are just a few of the possibilities when you learn how to create your own Halloween costume. Only your imagination will limit your creativity as you transform yourself into one of your favorite heroes or villains. Learn basic stitching techniques, such as sewing on a button which can be used to mend your more traditional wardrobe.

MathQuest (9-13) Pre: Co: Take the numbers out of math in this exploratory course. Learn how such natural events as tides and phases of the moon relate to trigonometry. Uncover the inner- workings of a computer as you master binary numbers and digital logic. You will be amazaed at how uncomplicated math can be!

ARTventures (6-10) Pre: Co: Join us on an ARTventure! Each week we will explore a different visual art medium, from drawing and painting to sculpting with polymer clay and recycled materials. Explore some of the available materials and how you can make use of them as a visual artist. A $5 materials fee must be paid to the instructor on the first week.

Games Galore (ages 6-9) Pre: Co: Everything but video games! That's what we'll play in this class...card games, board games, dice games, and interactive games. Play some old favorites like rummy, "Uno", and Mancala, new versions of classics such as "Cranium", and the new must-haves "Apples to Apples, Jr." and "Blokus." Master games that you can play alone, such as solitare, and games that you can play to get a party going, such as "Bunco."

Sew Fun! (Entering grades: 5-9) Pre: Co: Learn to sew for yourself, or make gifts for friends. Easy projects to complete by hand could include: toss pillows, stuffed animals, and a traveling pillow/pajama bag for overnight trips. We will discuss and decide upon projects.

Drumming (11-14) Pre: Co: If you want to try your "hand" at making music, this course is for you. Instruction includes snare drum and mallet techniques, various styles of drum sets, and some auxiliary percussion. This scope of the material ranges from theoretical counting exercises to hands-on rhythmic study.

Stories and Movement (7-9) Pre: Co: Everyone has stories. In this class, we'll be exploring the stories we can find in the most ordinary things, for example, clouds, telephone, and shoes. We'll tell our stories through group movement and words, creating an expressive performance piece set to music. Instructor Mary Lee Karlins holds an M.F.A from Smith College and was head of the dance program at Bradford College for 14 years. Most recently directed The Story Project, an inter-generational performing group using text and movement to express personal stories.

Moving Stories: A performance art project (10-12) Pre: Co: Our stories are part of us. They're part of what makes each of unique and part of what connects us. We will be creating a group performance piece from shared stories about ordinary things, from socks to clouds. Our materials will be our words and movements, and we'll use the methods of improvisation and composition. The final piece we create will be set to music and shown to our friends and family.
