Aggie Summer Program (Ages 5-7) The Kids to College Mini Camp which runs from July 9 to July 26is designed to combine academics with a recreational component so that students (ages 6-9) will have an enjoyable yet meaningful summer experience. Classes are small (limited to 12 students) and each academic class emphasizes investigation, discovery and creativity in a fun, hands-on format. All courses are taught and directed by seasoned, caring professionals. The recreational component is included to help youngsters develop a sense of balance and coordination, along with a sense of self-esteem and confidence as they have fun learning to cooperate with their peers through team games and recreational activities.

Teddy Bears and Dinosaurs Pre: Co: Elect: This reading class will take a whole language approach to reading. The children will participate in a variety of reading, writing, listening and speaking activities such as creating their own books, writing poems, dramatizing stories and poems and playing language based games. Basic pre- reading and reading skills will be emphasized through the use of children's literature, songs and chants. Daily themes including: Me, The Ocean, Teddy Bears and Dinosaurs will add to the excitement of reading. Class limited to 12 students, ages 5-7.

Succeeding In Science Pre: Co: Elect: We'll make science more enjoyable by conducting experiments, formulating hypotheses, making observations, learning to graph results and drawing conclusions. Hints to make test taking and laboratory work easier will be explored. This class will surely help you adapt to all type of science classes you may encounter in high school. We'll also explore the many and varied careers that relate to science. The final class will be a "science magic show" for parents and friends. Class limited to 10 students, ages 9-13.

Build a Buddy (6-10) Pre: Co: ...and much, much more in this delightful arts and crafts course. Learn the art of stitching, the craft of using a glue gun and a variety of other techniques that will prove handy as you decorate your life! Astound your friends with the remarkable projects you create. A $20 materials fee must be paid to the instructor the first week.

Acting Young (ages 7-9) Pre: Co: In this class, basic acting techniques will be explored. Students will develop material, suitable for performance, based on a theme. The course leader will discuss various formats, including poetry, plays, songs, etc. Children will be free to create while expressing their feelings and emotions through drama. An original performance may be presented on the final day of class.
