In this class, we will have a wanderful time sampling many types of art - including painting, ceramics and even fashion design! Pre: Co: Elect: DRAWING FROM THE OCEAN: We live near the sea, and its rich beauty inspires artists every day! Using the sea as our theme, we will explore ways to draw this magnificent subject creatively, using imagination, observation and personal expression. Come and learn about line, color, form, and texture-using your mind and real objects. A drawing pad and basic materials will be provided-but we can't do the course without you! Class limited to 15 children ages 10-12.

Dream it - Write it - Make it Happen (8-10) Pre: Co: Do you dream about what you would love to do, goals you would like to achieve? Create a dream book to help you make your dreams come true. Draw, cut out pictures, and write about what you would like to bring to your life. Your "Dream Book" will help you make your dreams a reality.

Pre: Co: Elect: COMPUTER-GRAPHICS: Students will be introduced to the basic operations of computers as they learn to design and print computer graphics, In this intro-course, students will learn to draw and print cartoon characters while publishing a giant comic book. Other projects include the publishing of a Kids to College Newsletter with kids articles and illustrations. Students will receive hands-on instruction on both Apple and IBM computers. Class limited to 12 students, ages 8-14.

Pre: Co: Elect: COMPUTER-TECHNICS: In this course you will observe first-hand how computers affect every aspect of your life. While receiving hands-on training on both Apples and IBM's, you will closely examine the practical application of all tyes of computers at the college and local businesses such as banks and even restraunts. Computer Technology such as modems, a mouse, laser printers, etc. will be examined. This course is for students who have some computer training at home or in school. Class limited to 12 students, agees 8-14.

Pre: Co: Elect: TAKING THE "UGH" OUT OF WRITING: Do you groan when the teacher asks for a book report? Are school writing assignments agony for you? Do you have stories inside you, but just don't know where to start? join a professional writer for a workshop that will help make writing more fun and less frustrating. Practice finding ideas, organization techniques, and review while writing different types of papers. We'll publish our own anthology at the end of class, so you'll see your work and name in print. Class limited to 12 students, ages 10-14.
