    Pre: Co: Elect: MONSTER MAGIC: Learn the "beauty" , or should I say "beastly," secrets of Dracula, Wolfman and, everybody's favorite, Freddy. This class will teach you how to transform yourself from an ordinary kid into a monster, alien or animal, using special effects make-up. Using both sculpting and painting techniques, you will learn to work with theatrical make-up, latex, fake hair putty, clay, cloth and plaster to design your own monster. Wear old clothes and bring a towel.

    Pre: Co: Elect: LET'S SPEAK SPANISH 2: This course is designed for the student who, having completed Let's Speak Spanish or similiar introductory course, has learned the alphabet, calendar, colors, family and school vocabulary and simple conversation in Spanish. Students will be introduced to the vocabulary of food, clothing, parts of the body and animals in addition to developing their conversational skills and expanding their knowledge of Spanish culture. Class limited to 15 students, ages 8-11.

    Fun with Physics (ages 6-9) Pre: Co: Come join us as we explore the science of energy. Learn about light waves, sound waves and ocean waves. Attempt to make a sturdy bridge out of just paper. Explore the nature of electricity and magnetism and learn about air pressure and heat with bubbles and balloons.

    Pre: Co: Elect: CALLING ALL SPORTS(WRITERS): Would you like to improve your writing skills and have a great time doing it? In this course you will improve your communication skills, both verbal and written, by discussing and writing about such varied topics as Larry BIrd, Roger Clemens, Doug Flute, your little league team, etc. Learn to write different types of sports articles such as advance stories, straight game accounts, features, columns and sidebars. This course will help you to prove your ability to write compositions and essays in school. Class limited to 12 students, ages 10-14.

    Pre: Co: Elect: WHERE DO I COME FROM? Designed for mature young adults, this course wil begin with a fascinating look at the origin of human life. After generally exploring the reproductive process, students will then investigate the corresponding molecular reactions. After a study of D.N.A. (deoxyribionucleic acid), we will begin to understand how good and bad traits are inherited. Following a discussion of inherited birth defects, we will evaluate the promise of genetherapy. Class limites to 12 students, ages 11-14.

Not only will you have a chance to be creative but you will also learn about the animals that once found these shells to be their homes. Study about the different classes of these animals and where they can be found. Learn what is involved in starting a collection, and the steps needed to clean and preserve these shells. Here we will delve more deeply into the fascinating world of biology as we study the major systems of the body, seeing first-hand how they work. A survey of the plant and animal kingdoms will highlight the ecological aspects of the course as we examine the biological aspects of the land and sea around us.
