3 cr. 3 hr. The practicum is designed for student teachers preparing for their certification, Teacher of Transitional Bilingual Education, Elementary Provisional with Advanced Standing. The students will be placed in bilingual classrooms at various grade levels (K-third grade) where they will be observing, assisting and teaching under the supervision of a cooperating teacher. The students will also be attending, with their college supervisor regularly scheduled seminars (see Bilingual Seminar) in which both Spanish and English will be presented.
