Alternate Spring Semesters Spring 2009, 2011 This course will introduce students to the format that saved radio from the “invasion” of television in the early 1950s. Therewill be an analysis and examination of early radio formats, from radio’s inception through current themes. Discussion and audio examples will be provided to determine the changes in “rock”formats that occurred as radio evolved from AM to FM. Students will be responsible for developing a research paper with an audio project as an option. (Formerly COM 3642).
