-
3.00 Credits
This a comprehensive course in 3D modeling using AutoCAD and other software. Students will produce a major project using solid modeling, surface modeling, rendering, and animation techniques. Prerequisite(s): AED 160.
-
3.00 Credits
Design/planning procedures and presentation techniques presented in AED 115 or AED 165 will be expanded and coordinated into a complete residential design project. The project shall conform to code and demonstrate functional, energy, and environmental considerations. Prerequisite(s): AED 115 or AED 165.
-
1.50 Credits
ArchitecturalCAD (ADT) is a software application based on AutoCAD that is used widely in creating architectural models and working drawings. Students will use ArchitecturalCAD to apply industry standard techniques for designing, planning, documenting and presenting structures. Prerequisite(s): AED 110 & AED 165.
-
3.00 Credits
This course introduces the student to various forms of three dimensional drawing, one and two point perspective, shade and shadow, color, and rendering. Extensive sketching, a thorough understanding of graphic engineering concepts, and hands on experience promote the development of competent artistic style. Prerequisite(s): AED 105 & AED 110 OR AED 116
-
3.00 Credits
This course is a non calculus introduction to the mechanics of statics as applied to wood, structural laminates, and steel. The course is divided into three major areas of study: statics, wood, and steel. This is a design/build orientated course. Prerequisite(s): MAT 108 or MAT 125 or AED 116.
-
3.00 Credits
This course will provide an overview of parametric solid modeling software for mechanical applications using Inventor. Students will learn to use sketch planes, create solid parts, place solid features, create assemblies, attach constraints, create presentations and generate drawing files. There will be an emphasis placed on the use of Inventor as a design tool. Prerequisite(s): AED 105 or AED 116.
