Since this is ordinarily the student's first methods course, particular attention is paid to the instructional planning process. Students are introduced to a range of developmentally appropriate teaching strategies especially pertinent to historical and cross-cultural topics, but also to procedures and habits of mind that are transferable to teaching other areas of the curriculum.
