The course will stress the critical importance of prior planning for disasters of any sort especially in Rural America and having a workable plan ready when the event does occur if ever in any jurisdiction. Emphasis will also be placed on the importance of periodic practice and updating of the information within the plan. Students will participate in a planning exercise and will visit a regional Emergency Management Center.
