This course is equivalent to the Law Enforcement Pre-Service Program offered at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA). It is intended to provide training and instruction to properly prepare persons for tasks that are performed by local law enforcement personnel prior to being on duty. Students will have primarily lecture based modules but will also receive hands on training for some content. The course instructors are primarily practicing law enforcement officers. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a Certificate from the Academy.
