A special project in analysis, research, or an applied area will be designed by the student and a faculty adviser. This project will then be submitted to the music faculty for approval. Regular and periodical evaluation will be made by the supervising faculty member and the results of the independent study will be presented in the form of a paper, an original composition, or a public performance. May be repeated for credit with different topics. On demand.
