Prerequisites: MUS 211-212, MUS 337 or permission of instructor. A study of the methods, materials, and problems related specifically to teaching instrumental ensembles (small and large, beginning and advanced) in heterogeneous at the secondary school level, including grades 6-12. Part of the emphasis will be on the development of improvisational skills for use in the music classroom. Spring.
