    This clinical course provides the opportunity for the student to focus on critical thinking/diagnostic reasoning and clinical management/counseling skills in providing health and illness care to women in a primary care setting. This intensive clinical experience allows nurse-midwives to further integrate women's health and primary care didactic and clinical knowledge and skills. Focus includes health promotion and disease prevention for women across the life span, and the diagnosis and management of common primary care problems with emphasis on gynecologic concerns. The student is expected to begin the management of more complex health issues and to demonstrate increasingly complex clinical judgment.
