The study proceeds by examination of autobiography, institutions, symbols, scriptures, literature, world-views, values. Modern critiques of religion, secular faiths, and religious pluralism are included. Not open to students who have taken REL 105 or REL 304. Additional readings and a paper are required for the 300 level course. The content overlaps sufficiently that students who have taken one of the courses (REL104/REL 304) may not take the other. LEC
