PSYC 511: Laboratory Research in Infant Behavior

Optional course for students currently enrolled in PSYC 510 or may be taken after completion of PSYC 510. Will offer students practical experience in an infant research laboratory. Students must spend a minimum of nine hours a week (on three different half days) in laboratory. They will learn to observe and record infant behavior, to handle data from experiments and participate in the planning and discussion of laboratory research. Acquaintance with and involvement in the issues of obtaining informed consent and ethical aspects of infant research will be included.
