Description: The course will focus on a variety of small-bodied mammals of conservation and management interest to include bats, insectivores, rodents, and small carnivores. The population and behavioral ecology of small mammals will be reviewed in a management context. Strategies for the management of forests, grasslands, and deserts to manipulate abundance and diversity of small mammals will be examined.
