This course provides an exploration of the field of criminal justice ethics, which broadly encompasses the history of justice and theories of morality and ethics. It includes the study of ethics from both the individual perspective and the organizational standpoint. Special attention will be given to concrete ethical issues and dilemmas which are encountered regularly by participants in the major components of the criminal justice system. Four areas of ethical decision making opportunities are therefore studies in this course, including: law enforcement ethics correctional ethics legal profession ethics and policy making ethics. Topics include: characteristics and powers of the three branches of government, principles governing the operation of the constitution, and Bill of Rights and the Constitutional Amendments. Prerequisite: CRJ 101

Topics include: scope and varieties of crime sociological, psychological, and biological causes of crime criminal subculture and society's reaction prevention of criminal behavior behavior of criminals in penal and correctional institutions and problems of rehabilitation the convicted criminal. This course analyzes the nature, extent, and causes of juvenile delinquency, and examines processes in the field of juvenile justice. Topics include: survey of juvenile law, comparative analysis of adult and juvenile justice systems, and prevention and treatment of juvenile delinquency. Prerequisite: CRJ 101

This course provides experiences necessary for further professional development and exposure to related agencies in the criminal justice field. The student will either pursue a study project directed by the instructor within the institution, or an internship in a related agency supervised the instructor subject to the availability of an approved site. Topics include: observation and/or participation in criminal justice activities, criminal justice theory applications, and independent study project. Prerequisite: Completion of all required courses

This course provides an overview of the Central Sterile Processing and Distribution profession and develops the fundamental concepts and principles necessary to successfully participate as an entry level Central sterile Processing Technician. Emphasis will be placed on the profession of Central Sterile Processing, basic sciences and related subjects, infection control, aseptic technique, equipment management, sterilization, instrumentation and supplies, legal issues, inventory management, safety, quality assurance, professional development and healthcare trends. Students completing this course will be eligible to sit for the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) certification exam. Fundamentals of Automotive Logistics introduces students to the autotransporting industry, manufacturer's and auto dealer'srequirements, logistics, records and forms, industrial customer relations, and other nondriving activities. This course provides an emphasis on safety and quality service that will continue throughout the program. Prerequisite: Possess valid/current CDL

This course focuses on teaching students to become proficient in all phases of loading and unloading autotransport trailers. In addition, students will learn and practice autotransporter hydraulic systems, mechanical lifts and locks, locking devices, tiedown procedures, inspection, and testing. Prerequisite: CTC 111

The internship provides the opportunity for an individual to complete his or her training with a company. Working closely with the school, a company provides advanced training that focuses on all areas of the automotive logistics. The student will work with an experienced logistics expert OTR while completing this portion of the training. Prerequisite: CTD 115

The course emphasizes fundamental kitchen and dinning room safety, sanitation, maintenance, and operation procedures. Topics include cleaning standards, O.S.H.A.. M.S.D.S. guidelines, sanitary procedures, following SERVSAFE guidelines, HACCAP, safety practices, basic kitchen first aid, operation of equipment, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, dishwashing and pot and plan cleaning. Laboratory practice parallels class work. Prerequisite: Provisional admission
