A study of Spanish poetry, novel, drama and short story of the 20th century. Emphasis on the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Includes the works of Buñuel, Saura, Almodóvar and others. Emphasis on the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

An introduction to Hispanic American films focusing on their artistic value, their relationship to literature, social and political issues, cultural differences, morals and ethics. The course may examine the works of directors from one or more Hispanic American countries. Emphasis on the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Methods and materials for listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural activities appropriate for elementary and middle school learners. First and second language acquisition theories, a review of foreign language teaching methods, testing procedures and teacher preparation and evaluation. A field experience of 45 clock hours is a required component of the course.
