    GRA 2156C ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in ART 1300C and DIG 2000C or GRA 1142 or departmental approval A course covering the concepts of electronic publishing and the ability to create and manipulate full color graphic illustrations. Students will receive training on Adoe Illustrator or the most current Encapsulated Postscript iludtration program standard in the industry. Class lecture will be supported with hand- outs and demonstrations. (Special Fee: $ 24.00)

    COMPUTER ANIMATION Prerequisite: ART 1300C and GRA 2156C or GRA 2156 with a minimum grade of a C or departmental approval Instruction in the use of a personal computer to generate 2-D images and incorporate them into animated sequences. Principles of traditional animation, storyboard and animation effects will be explored and applied to computer imagery. Studetns will become familiar with the necessary hardware and software to create and output animated images. (Special Fee: $54.00)

Includes marketing strategies, exploring design solutions, dealing with clients, estimating costs, presentation and production techniques.

    ELECTRONIC IMAGING Prerequisites: GRA 1142 or departmental approval Utilizing the most current industry standard image editing software, this course is designed for the intermediate to the experienced graphic designer black and white or color imagery into their page layout or web design projects. Program features wil be utilized to create original bitmapped images, edit scanned images, design graphics for web pages and import images rendered in other applications. Emphasis will be placed on the application of good design principles through projects based on typical assignments within the industry. (Special Fee:$ 24.00)

    ADVANCED IMAGE EDITING Prerequisite: GRA 2201C and GRA 2156C with a minimum grade of a C or departmental approval Exploration of advanced image processing techniques. Studetns will learn how to prepare images for various output venues, including print, web and multimedia publishing, animation and video. Projects focus on resolution, color management, image and testure creation, and special effects. Industry- standard hardware and software will be utilized. (Special Fee:$ 55.00)

    GRAPHIC REPRODUCTION PROCESSES Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in GRA 2121 or department approval Fundamentals of single and multi-color layout and pre-press production will be introduced. Traditional production techniques and current usage of a personal computer, software, and peripherals will be studied. Course includes lecture and field trips to local graphic arts production and printing facilities. (Special Fee: $55.00)

    DIGITAL INTERFACE DESIGN Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in CGS N001 or departmental approval. Students plan and author interactive digital media presentations using industry-standard software, scripting languages, and basic programming techniques. Various steps of development, implementation, optimizing, debugging, and final output will be exhibited with special attention to cross-platform scripting for multiple venues. (Special Fee: $25.00)

    DIGITAL VIDEO IMAGING Prerequisite: GRA 1580 with a minimum grade of C or departmental approval. Advance skills and techniques are taught to allow students to create and manipulate digital video images, integrating media from a variety of sources. (Special Fee: $25.00)

    DIGITAL MEDIA PORTFOLIO Prerrequisite: GRA 2581 OR FIL 2203 and FIL 2211 with a minimum grade of C. Creation by the student of a final "capstone" project or projects, presented with additional materials in a digital portfolio summarizing the student's work. The student will design and complete adigital "resume" with the approval student will design and complete a digital "resume" with the approval of the instructor. (Special Fee: $25.00)
