This course requires a teacher candidate to demonstrate competency on the twelve Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) at the pre-professional level during one semester of full day internship in a public or private school as approved by the Dean. The internship also includes a series of mandatory professional leadership seminars. Contact hours: a minimum of 35 hours per week for 15 weeks. Topic #2: CANADIAN INTERNSHIP ELEMENTARY EDUCATION: IMPACT 3-6 credits Prerequisites: Successful completion of all Elementary Education IMPACT Program requirements and passing of all sections of the General Knowledge and Professional Education Exam. This course requires a teacher candidate to demonstrate competency on the twelve Florida Educator Accomplished Practies (FEAPs) at the pre-professional level during a semester long internship in a public or private school approved by the Dean. The internship also includes a series of mandatory professional leadership seminars. This course is 6 credits for the Canadian students already in the program, but for new students they will be required to take 3 credits each semester for a total of 6 credits.
