This is a multi disciplinary course designed to expose students to the tools and techniques for collecting scientific data underwater. This course will include a review of the theory and practical application of scientific diving through the use of scuba diving skills and research methodology as applied to the fields of shipwreck archaeology, physical oceanography, and marine biology. Nationally recognized certification as an advanced scuba diver is a requirement for enrollment in this course and will be verified by the instructor at the first class.
