ART 1500C: Painting I

A course designed to acquaint the student with a working knowledge of the elements of composition, color theory and various painting techniques through the creation of paintings rendered in oils or acrylics. The course emphasizes the development of sign language skills and the ability to translate from ASL to English and English to ASL. Various sign systems and regional signs will also be described. The course also describes the history, values, and culture of deaf persons in America.
