Biological principles stressing unifying concepts at all levels of organization. Topics in Biology, from a multicultural perspective, shall be discussed to help students to enlarge their multicultural views.

This course presents functional anatomy of the human body and its relation to disease process. Inter-relationships of body organ systems and regulatory mechanisms will be discussed in relation to human anatomy and physiology. Culture specific disease processes will also be a topic of focus.

This course will survey principles of earth science taken from selected concepts in astronomy, geology, meteorology, and oceanography and their impact on multicultural societies. Topics in Earth Science, from a multicultural perspective, shall be discussed to help students to enlarge their multicultural views.

Business law studies the history, background, sources and influences of our modern day law as it pertains to the business activities of individuals, corporations and other legal entities. As part of this module, particular emphasis will be placed upon the laws governing contracts, creditor's rights, secured transactions, bankruptcy, agency, partnerships and corporations. Today's managers need to understand the basic legal concepts to avoid costly courtroom problems and other legal issues. Multicultural aspects are incorporated into the learning experience, as related to international business transactions.

Via case studies, this course is designed to demonstrate the interplay between law and management and to assist today's manager in avoiding the dangerous and costly pitfalls of employment law by providing an overview of federal legislation barring employment discrimination with emphasis on the Civil Rights of 1866, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Title VII of the Civil Right Act of 1963, the Age Discrimination Act of 1967, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.

This course will introduce students to Microsoft FrontPage: Comprehensive Concepts and Techniques. This is a layout with designing tools, templates and improved themes, all created to help professionals design their Website without requiring knowledge of HTML. The main focus of this course is to prepare students to use technology as a necessary tool in their studies and in the accomplishment of their goals addressing cross-cultural issues, such as biases, needs and the globalization of it. The students will learn how to create a professional website by being introduced to the features that FrontPage provides, such as dynamic web templates, layout tables and cells, interactive buttons, behaviors, layers, support of Macromedia Flash and more.

Application and demonstration of basic input and retrieval functions of psychological data utilizing micro/mini computers. Subcultures within the Internet will also be examined.

This course presents basic principles of general chemistry that include concepts of atomic and molecular structure, properties of gases and solutions, acid base theory and nuclear chemistry. Concepts of chemistry and the interrelationship with psychopharmacology will be emphasized. Topics in Chemistry for Health Sciences, from a multicultural perspective, shall be discussed to help students to enlarge their multicultural views.

This course will present an overview of Neurolinguistic Programming techniques and the application of psychological theories in effective behavior. The course will include concepts of personal effectiveness, interpersonal effectiveness and work/career effectiveness. Cross cultural information on how individuals manage stressful life events, group practices and behavior in both social and work settings will also be presented.

This course introduces basic concepts of adult development theory. Through self assessment, students will be able to identify prior learning/life experiences that can be linked to coursework. Emphasis is placed on the development of a CPL Portfolio.
