This course is designed for students who have graduated from a nonregionally accredited school that is also not a CoAEMSP accredited program. The student may follow college procedure through a special admissions process to take this course and receive advanced placement in the program upon successful completion with a grade of "C" or better.

Prerequisite: EMT. Corequisite: EMS 2664. This course provides instruction in Units 1, 2, and 3 of the U.S. Standard Curriculum for the Paramedic, as adapted to the local service delivery area. Credential testing will be based on what is contained in the course; therefore, students should pay close attention to how things are taught as opposed to how they may actually be performed in the field.

Prerequisite: EMSC 2620. Corequisite: EMS 2665. Second in the three-part series of paramedic didactic courses. This section focuses on cardiology, pediatrics, and OB/GYN for the paramedic.

3.00 Credits
Prerequisites: EMSC 2620 and EMSC 2621. Corequisite: EMS 2658. Last course in the series of three didactic sessions for the paramedic program. This course focuses on the operations and special topics sections of the U.S. DOT Standard Curriculum.

A course designed to provide fundamentals in English skills, effective business writing, and oral communications. Emphasis on grammar, spelling, punctuation, business writing, speaking, listening skills, and employability skills.

Prerequisite: Appropriate test scores in reading and writing. Meets Gordon Rule and General Education requirements. This course concentrates on helping students to develop skills in composing college-level expository essays. Learning activities are also included to help students develop competency in information literacy, research and documentation, critical thinking, and critical reading. Multiple written assignments and a minimum grade of C are required to satisfy Gordon Rule requiremetns.

Prerequisite: Acceptable placement test scores and admission to the Honors Program. Meets Gordon Rule and General Education requirements. A course designed to fulfill the objectives of ENC 1101 in a setting of intensified study, discussion, and analysis of a wide variety of written work. The course is open to students admitted to the BCC Honors Program.

Prerequisite: ENC 1101 or ENC 1101H. Meets Gordon Rule and General Education requirements. Emphasizes writing literary analyses using different rhetorical strategies. Selections include the short story, essay, novel, poetry, drama, or film which provide the basis for advanced essay writing, research, and practice. This is a general education diversityinfused course.

Prerequisites: ENC 1101 or ENC 1101H and admission to the Honors Program. Meets Gordon Rule and General Education requirements. Continuation of ENC 1101 or ENC 1101H with emphasis on writing about literature. Selections from the areas of the short story, essay, novel, poetry, or drama provide the basis for advanced essay writing, research, and practice in literary analysis. The course is open to students admitted to the Honors Program.

Prerequisite: ENC 1101. Organization, correctness, and use of technical documents important to industry and business. The entire report is studied, from its initial concept to the completed work. Sentence structure, punctuation, and spelling are stressed to reflect the writer's ideas and ability to present those ideas correctly and acceptably.
