4.00 Credits
Prerequisite: MAT 060 (Grade of C or better) or assessment. Covers material designed for career technical or general studies students who need to study particular mathematical topics. Topics may include measurement, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, graphs, and/or finance. These are presented on an introductory level and the emphasis is on applications.
-
4.00 Credits
Prerequisite: ACT Math Score of 19, Accuplacer Elementary Algebra score of 85, or completion of MAT 090. Develops mathematical and problem-solving skills. Appropriate technological skills are included. Content is selected to highlight connections between mathematics and the society in which we live. Topics include set theory and logic, mathematical modeling, probability and statistical methods, and consumer mathematics. Additional content will include one topic in geometry, numeration systems, decision theory, or management science. This course is one of the Statewide Guaranteed Transfer courses.
-
4.00 Credits
Prerequisite: Survey of Algebra or equivalent competency. Includes a brief review of intermediate algebra, equations, and inequalities, functions and their graphs, exponential and logarithmic functions, linear and non-linear systems, selection of topics from among graphing of the conic sections, introduction to sequences and series permutations and combinations, the binomial theorem and theory of equations. This course is one of the Statewide Guaranteed Transfer courses.
-
3.00 Credits
Prerequisite: MAT 121 or equivalent. Covers topics including trigonometric functions (with graphs and inverse functions), identities and equations, solutions of triangles, complex numbers, and other topics as time permits. This is a traditional prerequisite course to the calculus sequence. This course is one of the Statewide Guaranteed Transfer courses.
-
