Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion from the United States Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration. PREREQUISITE: Requires college-level reading. Introduces the student to the recognition of possible fire sources and emergency procedures in the event of a fire, as well as an in-depth study of fires and the construction techniques of eliminating fires. This course includes: history of fires, types of extinguishing agents and detecting devices, construction techniques, extinguishing systems, and detecting systems.
