Covers material designed for career technical or general studies students who need to study particular mathematical topics. Topics may include measurement, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, graphs, and/or finance. These are presented on an introductory level and the emphasis is on applications. PREREQUISITE: MAT 060 or ACCUPLACER score of 45-60.

Develops mathematical and problem-solving skills. Appropriate technological skills are included. Content is selected to highlight connections between mathematics and the society in which we live. Topics include set theory and logic, mathematical modeling, probability and statistical methods, and consumer mathematics. Additional content will include one topic in geometry, numeration systems, decision theory, or management science. PREREQUISITE: MAT 106 or ACCUPLACER score of 85+, ACT: 19 or SAT 460.
