The credit hours can also be used for faculty-monitored learning of advanced laboratory methodology not covered in the current curriculum. Planning of the proposed research project or independent study must be supervised and approved by an EXSC faculty member prior to course enrollment approval. Submission of a written report of the completed research project or independent study will be required for all students.
