Emphasis on individual physical fitness and conducting self evaluation to facilitate growth. Includes a 48-hour field training exercise as well as a weekly two-hour laboratory that offers the Reserve Officer Training Corps opportunity to demonstrate learned leadership techniques along with instruction on basic military skills of land navigation and rifle marksmanship.

Part of this course includes a field trip to the nearby First Division Museum at Cantigny in Wheaton, IL.
