Emphasis on, but not limited to, functions of social-service and mental-health agencies. Each student spends 4-10 hours each week in supervised work activity at an agency in Northwest Indiana and two hours every other week in a classroom-discussion meeting. A written report is required. Prerequisites: psychology major, consent of the instructor, and depending on the practicum site, PSY 461 or other designated courses. May be repeated for credit to a maximum of nine credit hours; only three credit hours may be applied toward a major. S/U grade only.
