Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop Elements while discovering practical and creative uses of the application to increase speed and quality of learning in the classroom. Students in this course will be given guidelines for developing virtual museums, field trips, on-line exhibits, and exploratoriums from idea conception to the resulting conference or web pages for posting on the Internet. This course is for educators and prospective educators actively involved in the use, purchase and/or maintenance of computer hardware and software in the educational setting. Students will learn the functions of pertinent hardware, how to interface equipment to the computer, system requirements, and evaluation techniques. Students will learn to troubleshoot basic hardware, software, printing, and network problems. Maintaining appropriate maintenance and troubleshooting logs will be addressed. Technology plans and effective classroom management techniques using technology in a limited number of educational settings discussed. Transfer Credit: CSU
