    Class hours: 2.5 Lecture/5.5 Laboratory Prerequisite: WMT 252 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher, or appropriate work experience. This course provides the student the opportunity to improve European 32MM system cabinetmaking skills by the use of tools and machinery specific to advanced 32MM system cabinetmaking and millwork. Topics include advanced boring patterns, inset door installation, coopered and radius door applications, and other special trim and filler detailing as well as applied mouldings, appliqués and carvings. Students will fabricate a series of project samples for use with future advanced 32MM system cabinetmaking projects. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times. Transfer Credit: CSU

    Class hours: 2.5 Lecture/5.5 Laboratory Prerequisite: WMT 102, 103, or WMT 151 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course introduces the student to the methods, materials, tools, and machinery used in the design, and manufacturing and installation of mantels and wall systems. Topics will include the history, design, and milling, assembly and installation of mantels and wall paneling. A major emphasis will be focused on the safe use of woodworking machinery and materials involved in architectural millwork. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times. Transfer Credit: CSU

    Class hours: 8.0 Laboratory Prerequisite: WMT 159 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course allows students to perfect and hone skills acquired during previous solid surface fabrication courses. In this lab, students will design and construct a project of their choice that is relevant to the subject matter being taught. This course may be taken a maximum of 4 times. Transfer Credit: CSU

Recommendation: WMT 154, WMT 155, WMT 181 This course enables the students to work as a team in the design, manufacturing, and installation of cabinets and fixtures for on-campus use. This course includes instruction in production techniques, materials science, cost estimating, time management, and scheduling. This course specializes in the fabrication and installation of cabinetry and fixtures in the category of institutional or commercial production. This course may be taken a maximum of 3 times. Recommendation: WMT 154, WMT 155, WMT 181 This course specializes in the fabrication and installation of residential cabinetry and millwork. Topics include panel selection, wood choice, product adaptability and residential construction applications. Students will also receive instruction in production techniques, materials science, cost estimating, time management and scheduling. This course enables students to work as a team in the design, manufacturing, and installation of cabinets and fixtures for on-campus use. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times.     Class hours: 4.0 Lecture/4.0 Laboratory Prerequisite: WMT 151 or WMT 153 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher, or appropriate work experience. Corequisite: WMT 250 or WMT 252. Recommendation: WMT 154, WMT 155, WMT 181 This course specializes in the fabrication and installation of mass production cabinetry, furniture products and millwork. Topics include material selection, product options, ergonomics, functionality and mass production construction applications. Students will also receive instruction in mass production systems, materials science, cost analysis, estimating, time management and building to industry standards. This course enables students to work as team in the design, manufacturing and installation of mass production cabinetry and fixtures for on-campus use. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times.     Class hours: 2.0 Lecture/2.0 Laboratory Prerequisite: WMT 181 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course provides the student with the advanced skills and knowledge required to better utilize cabinet manufacturing computer systems and software. Classroom topics will include cutting list development, panel optimizing, job/cost estimating, and introduction to catalog writing for software customization. This course may be taken for a maximum of 2 times Transfer Credit: CSU

    Class hours: 1 lecture Corequisite: Enrollment in 7 or more units, including Occupational Work Experience in Theatre, in a declared Theatre major. One unit of Occupational Work Experience in Theatre required 60 non-paid hours or 75 paid hours of work per semester. Work Experience/Career Internship provides the opportunity for students to apply skills and knowledge learned in the classroom to related experiences on the job/training site. The aim of the course is to assist students in expanding specific job skills. This creates greater communication with increased understanding between the students/workers, the college, and the employers/trainers. First semester students will meet with the instructors for a minimum of one hour per week. Students also pursue a program of self-evaluation to determine individual job weaknesses and strengths. This course may be taken a maximum of 4 times. Transfer Credit: CSU
