    Class hours: 3.0 Lecture This course will introduce students to the technology of rapid prototyping used in automotive aftermarket innovations. Additive and subtractive technologies will be introduced. The focus of the class will be on performance, suspension, lighting, interior and exterior style products used in the automotive field. Students will also learn about how to import and export models from and to rapid prototyping software packages. Digital point to point and laser triangulation scanning in 3D will also be introduced in this class. Transfer Credit: CSU

Students will learn about the relationship of ISO 16949 with other quality systems and the importance of registration. Students will learn about metallic and non-metallic materials used in the design of tooling. Students will learn about proper process selection used in the design of new products and tooling.     Class hours: 3.0 Lecture This course will introduce students to electronic systems and integration in automotive aftermarket products. Students will learn about the role of electronics in sound, light, instrumentation, wheels, security, exhaust, fuel, and emission systems.     Class hours: 2.0 Lecture Prerequisite: A&P 150 and A&P 151 or equivalent with grades of Pass or "C" or higher. This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of pharmacology as they relate to the nursing management of drug therapy. Prototype drugs, selected from the major drug classes, are used to illustrate important drug facts. Core drug knowledge is integrated with core patient knowledge to provide a framework for nursing management in drug therapy. Transfer Credit: CSU

    Class hours: 3.0 Lecture/6.0 Laboratory Prerequisite: Admission to Nursing Program. Corequisite: NRSG 211 and NRSG 213A The focus of this course is on the introduction of theory and beginning clinical application of the Nursing Process and the Roy Adaptation Model when providing care for geriatric patients in long-term care settings. Emphasis is also placed on the beginning application of therapeutic communication techniques and the acquisition of adult physical assessment skills and fundamental concepts and skills required for patient care. Students are evaluated using the Educational Competencies for Graduates of Associate Degree Nursing Programs as identified by the National League for Nursing Task Force. The student must receive a grade of "C" or higher in the lecture component and a satisfactory grade in clinical lab to pass the course. Transfer Credit: CSU

    Class hours: 1.0 Lecture Prerequisite: Admission to the Nursing Program or possession of an active Licensed Psychiatric Technician License. This course introduces beginning nursing students and Licensed Psychiatric Technicians to the theoretical framework used in the Cerritos College Nursing Program. The Nursing Process as a dynamic, systematic way of delivering patient care is defined and demonstrated. Students are introduced to concepts central to nursing theory and elements of the Roy Adaptation Model. Students learn to integrate the Nursing Process and Roy Adaptation Model into clinical nursing practice when planning and providing patient care. The student must receive a grade of Credit or "C" or higher to pass this course. Transfer Credit: CSU

    Class hours: 2.5 Lecture/7.5 Laboratory Prerequisite: NRSG 210 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. For Option B students: Possession of an active Licensed Psychiatric Technician license and admission to the Nursing Program Corequisite: NRSG 211 may be taken prior to admission or concurrent Recommendation: NRSG 213A or NRSG 200 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. The focus of this course is on the theory and clinical application of the Nursing Process based on the Roy Adaptation Model when providing care for acutely ill medical-surgical patients with specific conditions. Adult physical assessment skills continue to be applied to patients in an acute care setting. The student must receive a grade of "C" or higher in the lecture component and a satisfactory grade in clinical lab in order to pass the course. Transfer Credit: CSU
