Attendees of the course will discuss and discourse on privacy and information issues of trust in computing, computer crime, issues on the impact and control of computers, and issues of professional responsibility and ethics. Students will choose at least two readings in various texts exploring how technology affects the human experience, and collaboratively present online opposing viewpoint discussion as a part of the conference. Audience: technical certificate/degree seeking students, pre-engineering students preparing at RMCC, and high school students planning to attend RMCC in the computer technology program. This course requires at least one paper using a documentation format. (Offered in spring and fall)
