The course is a requirement for all entering students whose test scores reflect a need for further development of reading strategies to prepare for college success. A student who successfully completes Reading I (RDG 013) with a ?C? or better will enroll next in Reading II (RDG 023). 2. A student who successful completes Reading II (RDG 023) with a ?C? or better will have successfully met Arkansas Assessment and Placement requirement for Reading. 3. Any student who successfully completes Reading I (RDG 013) may have one attempt at the COMPASS test to be exempted from Reading II (RDG 023). The student must make the appropriate cut-off score for Reading as indicated by the Placement Information Table in the RMCC catalog on page 24.

    1 hour credit (2 hours lab) Prerequisite Permission of Instructor An individually designed special course of study to provide a laboratory experience as an integrated part of a non-laboratory science course. This course requires at least one paper using a documentation format.

    3 hours credit (3 hours lecture) This course covers those principles and techniques involved in the analysis and oral reading of basic literary forms: poetry, prose, and drama. The class is designed for teachers, speakers, actors, and students of literature. (Offered on demand)

    1 hour credit (1 hour lecture/lab) An introduction to and practice in arc and oxyacetylene welding techniques. Since different techniques and materials are covered through individualized instructions, the student may earn up to a total of three (3) credits in welding. (Offered on demand)

    3 hours credit (2 hours lecture, 2 hours lab) An introduction to arc and oxyacetylene welding including classroom and laboratory training. The student will learn the basic types of welds used in flat welding. Instructions will include safety procedures. (Offered on demand)

    3 hours credit (2 hours lecture, 2 hours lab) Prerequisite WDG103 or permission of instructor A focused study of arc welding applications on higher carbon, alloy steel, and cast iron. The student will learn basic techniques used in welding materials horizontally, vertically, and overhead. Instruction will include safety procedures. (Offered on demand)
