This is an abbreviated machine shop course that gives the student a basic knowledge of safety, layout, use of precision measuring instruments, and operation of machine shop equipment. This course is ordinarily taught at night and in combination with MACH 1212 the student is presented the information in MACH 1205. ( 2,4,3)

This course gives the student the basic knowledge and actual operation of machine shop equipment. Included are safety, layout, and use of precision measuring instruments. ( 3,8,5)

A developmental math course that stresses the basics of mathematical concepts. The course is designed to increase the student's knowledge of basic math in order to be successful in Introduction to College Mathematics. It does not count toward a Technical Certificate. Placement is determined by score on the mathematics section of the ACT, ASSET, or COMPASS exams. Students scoring 12 or less on the ACT, 25 or less on the ASSET Elementary Algebra test, or 18 or less on the COMPASS Pre-Algebra test will be required to take this course. Students must make a minimum grade of "C" inorder to enroll in an advanced course. A grade of "D" indicates progress . Doesnot count toward a degree. (3,0,3)

Students must make a minimum grade of "C" inorder to enroll in an advanced course. Does not count toward a degree. Prerequisite Math ACT score of 13-14; ASSET score of 26-29 on Elem. Alg. Test; Compass score of 16-18 on Elem. Alg. or 19-26 on pre alg; passing MATH 0003 with a C or better. (3,0,3)

A study of real numbers, both positive and negative, and basic concepts of algebra applied to the solution of linear equations and systems of linear equations in two variables. Students must make a minimum grade of "C" in order to enroll in an advancedcourse. Does not count toward a degree. Prerequisite: Math ACT score of 15-16; ASSET score of 30-35 on Elem. Alg. Test; Compass score of 19-25 on Elem. Alg. or 27-40 on pre alg; passing MATH 0013 with a C or better. (3,0,3)

A general algebraic course designed for those students not sufficiently proficient in algebraic skills to take MATH 1053. Topics covered are general algebraic skills, linear equations and inequalities, linear functions, factoring, radicals, and rational expressions. Does not count toward a major or minor in mathematics. Students must make a minimum grade of "C" in order to enroll in an advancedcourse. Prerequisite: Math ACT score of 17-18; ASSET score of 36-41 on Elem. Alg. Test; Compass score of 26-35 on Elem. Provides the necessary background for students planning to take Calculus I or Compact Calculus. Topics include: problem solving; polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; parametric equations; and as time permits, linear systems. ( 5,0,5)

This course is for prospective P-8 education majors. Topics include a study of sets, numeration systems, the structure of arithmetic, number theory, and, beginning concepts of rational numbers, all with an emphasis on problem solving. Prerequisite MATH 1053. (3,0,3)
