3 credits Prerequisites: WP 193, WP 293, CT 183, CT 273, CT 253 Students will integrate software skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint using business-oriented projects. This capstone course should be taken during the final semester.

3 credits Prerequisite: Departmental Recommendation. The student will be placed in an approved organization during their last semester in a computer-related area to gain experience in the workplace.

3 hrs. lec., 3 credits Prerequisite: CT 114 or departmental approval. This course presents the fundamental concepts of an operating system, file management activities, the Internet and E-Mail. Microsoft Windows will be used as the operating system.

3 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab, 4 credits Prerequisite: CT 114 or departmental approval. This course introduces the student to the fundamental concepts and use of object-oriented programming to create applications in a windows environment using Visual Basic programming language. The student will also learn to use the three programming structures: sequential, selection, repetition.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: CT 114 or departmental approval. This course introduces the vocabulary, concepts, and uses of networking. The students will also be involved in activities that provide hands-on networking experience using Windows server.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: CT 114, MS 1023, or departmental approval. This course prepares the student to use Microsoft Excel to create, edit, and format worksheets and charts as well as use Excel's powerful calculation features. Other features taught include "What If Analysis" tools, such as Goal Seek and Solver.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: Keyboarding and/or computer skills. This course is designed to give the student theory as well as "hands-on"experience with popular software packages, such as a data base, spreadsheet, and word processing.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: WP 193 and CT 183. This course will teach Website design and management techniques using Dreamweaver MX 2004 to publish online. Topics include HTML, planning and creating new websites, tables, forms, templates, style sheets, layers, image maps, navigation bars, and animation.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: WP 193. This course will teach presentation skills including creating and modifying presentations, formatting, charts, speaker notes, handouts, automation, application sharing, pictures, videos, sound, advance drawing, interactive shows, and slide shows for the web.
