4 hrs., 4 credits The course is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to focus on a topic of special interest or application. Subject area and project plan will be agreed upon by student and instructor and approved by the division dean for all students enrolled in the course. Offered fall and spring. Enrollment limited to advanced student placement or division approval.

4 credits. Prerequisite: NT 204 (recommended). The course is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to continue and pursue a more in-depth study of project initiated in NT 204. The student may, with division approval, begin a new semester length project of study under the same restrictions of NT 204. Offered: Fall, spring. Advanced student placement or division approval.

3 hrs., 3 credits A course to acquaint the student with the theory of operation and troubleshooting techniques used to maintain peripherals such as keyboards, tape cassettes, and floppy discs, as well as industrial and commercial systems.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: CT 114 or departmental approval (recommended). This course is an optional offering within the Network Technology Program. The course deals with web-site and artistic creation utilizing web-development applications. Media creation, interactivity, layout and design, and production tools are included in the course.

3 hrs., 3 credits The course provides an introduction to the production and manipulation of digital images using industry recognized digital image recognition and enhancement software. The student will develop and apply computer image-editing skills through classroom and hands-on projects.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: NT 243. A continuation of NT 243 using programming languages for the web. The course features Java and Javascript for web development. Applications, applets, animations, flash, and e-commerce are included in the course.

3 hrs., 3 credits Prerequisite: NT 253 or departmental approval recommended. Recommended completion of PR 103 and enrollment in PR 113. Study of animation techniques: storyboarding, 3-D Modeling, image maps and textures, lighting and motion studies and rendering options.

5 hrs., 5 credits The course focuses on instructing students how to use SQL Server 2005 product features and tools related to implementing a database. Topics covered include using SQL Enterprise Manager and SQL Query Analyzer to create databases and database files, create data types and tables, plan, create and optimize indexes, implement data integrity with constraints, triggers and schemas, implementing views, stored procedures and functions, managing database code and using the Service broker to build a messagebased solution. Transact-SQL is covered in detail throughout the semester.

5 hrs., 5 credits The course focuses on instructing students how to use SQL Server 2005 product features and tools related to administering a database server. Topics covered include installing and configuring a database server, managing database files and security, performing administrative tasks, backing up and restoring databases, monitoring and troubleshooting the database server, transferring data, maintaining high availability, and general administration.
