3 credits Prerequisite: PPS 1114 Introduction to problems created by pollution, processes of an industrial plant that can control these emissions, overview of regulations that mandate pollution control, and brief historical overview of environmental issues and future trends. Laboratory exercises explore various testing methods pertinent to waste treatment facilities, stack emissions testing, and microbiological analysis. This course may be transferable toward a limited number of associate and baccalaureate degrees. Contact advisor for information regarding transferability.
