Study of the theory and practice of scenic design for the stage. Problems in set design involving sketching, drafting, and scale model-making comprise this course of study. Examination of the craft of stage management from a theoretical and practical point of view. Course objectives includes comprehension and implementation of comprehensive theatre safety procedures from a practical viewpoint. Participation as a designer, technical director, or stage manager in a main stage (fully realized, funded, technically supported, and academically supervised) theatre production.
