2 credits Prerequisite: Successful completion of two (2) business courses This course is part of a series wherein the student works in an accounting- related job. Emphasis is placed on student's work experience as it integrates academic knowledge with practical application through exposure to accounting practices in the business environment. The grade is based on the employer's evaluation of each student's productivity, content of a descriptive report submittedby the student, and student development and assessment of a learning contract.

In addition to a study of financial accounting, this course also places emphasis upon managerial accounting, with coverage of corporations, statement analysis introductory cost accounting, and use of information for planning, control, and decision making.
